First-ever Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival slated for 2024

VOV.VN – The debut version of the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival (HIFF) is scheduled to take place from April 6 to April 13 next year, with the event drawing participation of 200 filmmakers, actors, and actress from across the world.

An opening ceremony will be held on April 6 at Saigon Opera House, with an award giving and closing ceremony set to be organised at Lam Son park in District 1.

Nguyen Hue pedestrian street will host a wide range of activities during the course of the eight-day festival.

The highlight of the occasion will be an exhibition on the film industry, workshops on the Vietnamese and global film industries, along with short training courses.

The festival represents a prime opportunity for Vietnamese filmmakers to exchange their experiences and work with overseas colleagues.

Furthermore, local movie fans will be able to enjoy the best and latest movies, whilst also having the chance to meet their favourite celebrities. Cine show which is a series of music and fashion shows is expected to offer unique experiences to visitors, as well as honouring the Vietnamese and global film industries.

Moreover, the various outstanding achievements of the fashion industry in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam will be introduced to visitors.
