PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Phase 1: Application Submission

December 20th to February 29th

During this phase, we are open to receiving applications from screenwriters with complete project information.

Phase 2: Selection – Announcement of 30 projects advancing to the next round

March 1st to March 31st

The most outstanding projects will be selected to proceed to the next phase. We will announce the list of 30 projects advancing to the next round.

Phase 3: Workshop and Project Pitching (30 – 40 projects)

April 1st – April 5th

30 – 40 projects (depending on the number of feature films/series) will participate in a collective workshop on pitching techniques. Subsequently, screenwriters will have the opportunity to pitch their projects to the Organizing Committee and Mentors. Five Mentors  will select 5 (or 10/20) projects for further discussion.

Phase 4: 1 on 1 Workshop and Final Pitching Round

Takes place within the HIFF 2024 Festival Days (6 – 13 April 2024)

The selected projects will continue to the 1 on 1 Workshop phase with Mentors for 7 days, focusing on development and scriptwriting. At the end of the program, participants will take part in the final pitching round in front of a jury board from various studios. One project will be chosen for each category (feature film/series) to receive an award.
