Official Selection

 Deadline for all film submissions is no later than January 15th, 2024, except for Short film competition category is no later than February 2nd, 2024.

Deadline for Feature Film: January 15th, 2024

Deadline for Short Film: February 9th, 2024

Film Submission Regulations

The HIFF invites filmmakers to submit films for consideration in three competition categories: Southeast Asia Film, First or Second Film, and Short Film

 
  • All films must have been completed after January 1st, 2023.
  • All films must have English subtitles if they are not in English.
  • All applicants must complete the online entry form on Eventival.

Film Projects
  • The HIFF Workshop & Project is open to filmmakers from around the world.
  • Submissions must be in the English.

  • Best Art House Project
  • Best Entertainment Project

Script Lab

HIFF Script Lab is open to any screenwriter who can submit a complete draft of a feature film or film series project.

The script must be a Vietnamese speaking film.
