	Feature Films	Short Films
Submission Period	Feature Film submissions are accepted until 15th January 2024.	Film submissions are accepted until 9th February 2024.
Lengths	Not less than 60 minutes	No more than 40 minutes
Deadlines	15th January 2024	9th February 2024
Eligibility	The film must have been completed after January 1st 2023 Films submitted to HIFF must adhere to the specific eligibility criteria for each category. All non-English language films must have English subtitles. Films that have been previously screened in Vietnam are not eligible for submission, except for Short film category.
Submission Process	Online Submission: Submit your film through our online submission platform Eventival. Materials: Provide the following with your submission: Film screener (with English subtitles). Director’s biography and filmography. High-resolution film stills. Poster and promotional materials. Trailer (if available).
Entry Fee	There is no entry fee for the festival
Selection Process	Submissions will be reviewed by our selection committee. Selected films will be notified via email. The final list of selected films will be posted on our website.
Screening Formats	Selected films should be available in DCP or high-quality digital files. Filmmakers should provide a backup copy for the festival screening.
Shipping	Shipping costs for the exhibition copy to the festival are the responsibility of the submitter. Please mark the package as “For Festival Use Only” and include a tracking number.
Rights and Permissions	By submitting your film, you confirm that you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions for the public screening of your film at HIFF.
Awards	HIFF offers a range of awards in various categories, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Script Writer, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, and more.
