JOHN BADALU
John Badalu has been working in the film industry for 20 years. He studied Economics majoring Marketing Management before taking New Media Studies for the post-graduate study at DAMS University in Bologna, Italy. Badalu has worked as a Festival Delegate and Programmer for prestigeous film festivals like Berlin, Busan, Shanghai, Tallinn International Film Festival. He now works for Sheffield Doc Fest in UK as the Program Advisor. He is an independent producer who has produced notable films such as Basri & Salma in a Never-Ending Comedy (Premiered in Cannes Film Festival 2023), Malila: The Farewell Flower (Won JiSeok Award for Best Film at Busan Film Festival 2017), What They Don’t Talk About When They Talk About Love (Premiered at Sundance 2013). His films have premiered in Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, Locarno, Rotterdam, IDFA and Busan among others.
